The Park Authority exists to insure residents fully enjoy the leisure and recreational activities available in Garrett parks and other recreational areas and to protect the health and safety of persons using those areas. We strive to preserve and provide the quality recreational needs of its residents, visitors and tourist, and to enhance the quality of life in the city. Our staff along with the Garrett Street Department is also responsible for the management and maintenance of our community pool – a true community asset with many visitors every summer! The Garrett Pool dates of operations are from: Saturday May 28th thru Sunday August 27th.

Our Park Authority organizes several recreational and educational programs throughout the year for people of all ages and interest:
Fun Friday Activities are scheduled for every Friday in June with June 24th be a Pool Day. This year’s favorite Dive-Ins are back! Movies are scheduled at the pool for July 2nd and July 30th . This year’s Swim Meet and Coin Toss will still take part in the Heritage Days Events on July 4th at 10am. More fun fantastic activities will be posted soon.

Park Rules & Regulations
1.) For the protection of our park and the safety of its users, the following are prohibited:
- No alcoholic beverages
- No open fires
- No hitting golf balls anywhere in the park
- No camping in park
- No removal of wildlife or vegetation
2.) Per city ordinance, all animals must be maintained on a leash.
3.) Please be respectful of other park users.
4.) Please help to keep our parks beautiful by disposing trash in proper receptacles.
5.) Hours – Open 7am to 10pm unless otherwise posted.
