The Dekalb Memorial Hospital operates a medical clinic in downtown Garrett. This new facility greatly enhances Garrett's availability of quality medical, and the new building is an attractive addition to downtown Garrett. Garrett also has two dentists, an optometrist and a chiropractor.

Garrett has one community park (Feick), offering a municipal swimming pool, a brand new swimming pool slide, and several ball diamonds and tennis courts; 3 neighborhood parks (East Side, Union Street and West Side); and 2 specialty recreation areas (Jordan Wetlands and Heritage Park). To further serve the expanding recreational needs of the citizens of Garrett, the City of Garrett is currently developing Ocker Park, a 20-acre community park on the north side of Garrett.
Library
